10 Things You Didn’t Know about ZillaKami

ZillaKami hasn’t broken onto the mainstream music scene quite yet, but he has already built a very dedicated fan base. He has been doing his thing in the industry for almost a decade, and in that time he has become well known for his affiliation with rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. Not only has ZillaKami performed with 6ix9ine, but he has written songs for him as well. ZillaKami is also known for being 1/2 of the musical duo, City Morgue. ZillaKami’s unique style sets him apart from many other artists in the industry, and his creativity knows no limits. 1. He Is A New York Native

ZillaKami was born and raised in New York, but he doesn’t come from the city. He was primarily raised in a place called Bay Shore which is located in Suffolk County. While it isn’t one of the most popular places in the state, ZillaKami always rep it with pride. He eventually relocated to Brooklyn.

2. He Is A Big Fan Of Punk Music

For the most part, ZillaKami is considered a rapper but his style was heavily influenced by punk and hardcore music. During an interview with Thrasher Magazine, ZillaKami said, “I have a big history with punk music growing up and the sound and attitude we bring with our music is highly influenced by punk.”

3. He Is A Private Person

Even though ZillaKami has been in the industry for several years now, he has never been the type of artist to get too caught up in the spotlight. In fact, he has always been relatively private when it comes to his personal life. Outside of his music, there isn’t much information about him online.

4. He’s Had Some Run-Ins With The Law

Things have gone very well for ZillaKami on the musical front, but that hasn’t been as true for other areas of his life. In March of 2021, ZillaKami was stopped at an airport and taken into custody. It was initially believed that he was charged with having a machete. In reality, however, he was arrested because he had an outstanding warrant.

5. He Loves Aggressive Music

Aggression is usually seen as a negative thing, but now in ZillaKami’s eyes. He loves aggression in music and he especially appreciates the way it sounds when blended with a smooth melody. His passion for aggressive music can easily be heard in his songs.

6. He Had A Falling Out With 6ix9ine

At the beginning of his career, ZillaKami’s affiliation with 6ix9ine was what he was best known for. However, the two would eventually find themselves on bad terms. In the summer of 2017, ZillaKami posted a photo of 6ix9ine engaged in a sexual act with someone he alleged was an underage girl. This accusation added fuel to the fire regarding rumors that 6ix9ine was a sexual predator.

7. He Has Tattoos In Some Interesting Places

If you’ve ever seen ZillaKami, you know that he has a lot of tattoos. However, when it comes to his tattoo situation, there’s much more than meets the eye. While talking to Inked Mag, ZillaKami said, “I don’t really think it’s that’s crazy, but I’ve got spider webs by my crotch. Right on my penis, it says, “Toxin” down my shaft.”

8. He Is A DMX Fan

Rap fans all over the world were saddened with hip-hop legend DMX passed away in the spring of 2021. Although ZillaKami is so young (around 21) that he essentially missed the height of DMX’s career, he still considers him to be one of his greatest influences. He’s always been a fan of X’s aggressive style.

9. He Used To Play Football

In an interview with No Jumper, Zilla revealed that he used to play football when he lived in Bayshore. However, he didn’t go into detail about whether or not he was ever part of a school team or if he played in any competitive leagues. At this point in his life, though, it doesn’t appear that he is involved in any kind of sport.

10. He’s Loves Going To Hardcore Shows

Not only does ZillaKami love performing in front of crowds, but he also enjoys going to live shows – especially of the hardcore variety. He really enjoys the atmosphere and he likes going to shows as often as he can. The fact that he’s so active in the live music scene probably contributes to him being such a solid performer.
