Mads Mikkelsen “Shocked” About Replace Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts 3
Mads Mikkelsen is talking about he is shocked when he got the call to replace Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts 3.
Earlier this November, Johnny Depp confirmed he was demission from his role. His role – Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. That happened after Warner Bros. had asked him to quit following his legal battle with The Sun. In this case, Deep alleged he was abusive towards his ex-wife, actress-model Amber Heard. Deep also lost the case.
Then they replaced the Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, and he has spoken about joining the third installment in the Harry Potter’s franchise Fantastic Beasts next movie. Also, starring cast members like Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law,
During an appearance with Entertainment Weekly, Mads Mikkelsen was asked what he thinks about that:
“Well, it’s going to be me, so that’s a difference. No, this is the tricky part. We’re still working it out. There has to be a bridge between what Johnny did and what I’m going to do.
And at the same time, I also have to make it my own. But also we have to find a few links and some bridges so it doesn’t completely detach from what he’s already masterfully achieved.”
How Mads Mikkelsen reacts to his new role?
“Job wise, it’s obviously super interesting and nice. It’s also a shocker that it came after what happened, which is just super sad. I wish both of them the best. These are sad circumstances. I hope both of them will be back in the saddle again really soon.”
Fantastic Beasts 3 will be released in July 2022.
