2021 has been a very interesting year for Pardison Fontaine AKA Pardi. Although he has spent the last several years working on his music career, it’s his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion that has ultimately made him famous. The two revealed they were dating in the spring of 2021 and the news came as a shock to many. Lots of people have even jokingly expressed anger at Pardi for ruining Megan’s Hot Girl Summer. So far the couple’s relationship appears to be going strong, but Pardison is also ready to remind the world that he’s much more than just Megan’s boyfriend. 1. His Real Name Isn’t Pardison Fontaine

Pardi’s real name is actually Jorden Kyle Lanier Thorpe. During an interview with People, he shared how he came up with the stage name Pardison Fontaine. Originally, he went by the name Pardi McFly which was inspired by the popular movie Back to the Future. However, he decided to drop the McFly because he didn’t think it sounded professional enough. He told People, “I used to walk past this Anne Fontaine store all the time, and I didn’t know exactly what it meant or what it sold, but I just knew Fontaine sounded hella important.”

2. You May Have Heard One Of His Songs

As an artist, Pardi hasn’t gained a lot of commercial success, but he did have a pretty big hit in 2018 and you’ve probably heard it. His song “Backin’ It Up” featuring Cardi B. reached number 19 on the US Hip-Hop/R&B charts. It has also been certified platinum by the RIAA. On top of that, the video has nearly 170 million views on YouTube.

3. He Is A New York Native

Pardison Fontaine is a pretty private guy, so there isn’t much information out there on his life before he got into the music industry. We know that he was born and raised in Newburgh, New York which is located just a little over an hour outside of Manhattan.

4. He Is A Dedicated Father

Pardi doesn’t just want to be successful for his own sake, he also has a family to worry about. Pardi is a very proud dad to his young daughter. That being said, he has done a good job of keeping her protected from the public eye. He has also never released the identity of his daughter’s mother.

5. He Started Rapping In Middle School

Pardi grew up listening to music, but he didn’t consider making any of his own until he was in 7th grade. One of his classmates was responsible for giving him a piece of paper and a pen and telling him to write a verse. Pardi quickly realized he was a natural and he hasn’t looked back since.

6. He Is A Ghost Writer

Some people may assume that Pardi hasn’t been successful in the music industry because his songs haven’t gotten much attention. In reality, however, he’s actually written several songs you’ve probably heard before. Pardi is a talented writer whose writing credits include “Be Careful” and “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B as well as “South of the Border” by Ed Shereen.

7. He Likes Giving Back To The Community

Despite all of the things he’s achieved in his career, Pardison has never been the type of person to lose touch with issues that impact his community. He has always made it a point to show love, especially to Newburgh. Over the years, he has organized a turkey drive and a backpack giveaway.

8. There Are A Few Artists He Would Love To Work With

Pardison has already gotten the chance to work with some pretty impressive names, but he’s hoping to add a few more to the list in the years to come. While talking to People, Pardi shared that he would love to work with Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Adele at some point.

9. He Was Previously Connected To Another Woman In Rap

Pardi’s relationship with Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the first time he’s dated someone in the music industry. In 2019, news began to circulate that Pardi was dating Detroit-based rapper Kash Doll. However, the couple was never very open to the public about their relationship.

10. He Loves Fashion

Music isn’t the only area where Pardi likes to let his creativity show. He is also really into fashion and he has a great eye for putting outfits together. Whether he’s getting ready for a major event or just relaxing for the day, Pardi is the kind of guy who always wants to look his best.
