Suicide Squad director David Ayer: “Harley’s arc was eviscerated”
Suicide Squad movie director David Ayer talks about character Harley Quinn. He also mentioned that: “Harley’s story arc in the movie was eviscerated”.
This movie (Suicide Squad) was also premiered on theaters in August 2016. In the cinemas, this film very successful grossing over $746 million worldwide. We can’t see any original story despite the comic book series for any of its characters. When first announced this movie the director behind Harsh Times, Street Kings and End of Watch seemed like the ideal for that. We trust David Ayer’s vision also creative and producer for Suicide Squad’s first movie.
However, according to ScreenRant, they mentioned to the Warner Bros. has a sequel for Suicide Squad premiering out in 2021. Before that, early 2020 in cinemas Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn was premiered and they got back bad feedback and criticism from a lot of writers. This film next story for Harley Quinn’s and follows: “After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes. This one’s Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord.”.
A few days ago on Twitter, a fan commented on one of David Ayer’s replies about doing a live commentary of Suicide Squad by saying Harley Quinn, “was sexualized in the entire Suicide Squad movie” and. Also, in Birds of Prey movie, she was a real character. David replied to the fan by stating that:
“Sadly her story arc was eviscerated. It was her movie in so many ways. Look I tried. I rendered a Harley comic book accurate. Everything is political now. Everything. I just want to entertain. I will do better.”
The Suicide Squad movie will premiere on 6 August 2021. Also, directed and written by James Gunn inspired John Ostrander’s comic book.
