Tool Frontman Maynard James Keenan Health is All Grand Now
TOOL‘s frontman Maynard James Keenan had worried his fans as he contracted the virus not once but twice last year.
And he recently appeared on a new interview where he also relieved fans saying “everything’s grand.” Maynard James Keenan has told previously that he infected coronavirus in October 2020. It was his first round with the disease and it took very long for him to recover. He had to go through major medications to recover from the residual effects of the deadly virus, although he was still coughing anyway cause his lungs had damaged very badly. And then, he infected again like mid-November and had to go to the ER in December.
“Ugly, ugly. Couldn’t breathe. I could barely put two words together without going into a coughing fit that, you know? It ended up kind of also progressing into pneumonia. So, if I stayed in the hospital, they said, ‘Okay, we can keep you here, but you’re fighting 12 other people for a bed and a ventilator we don’t have, so what do you want to do?’ I’m like, ‘Well, I need to breathe and I need to sleep,’” said Maynard James Keenan.
Tool frontman had explained his experience on the disease back in those days. And finally, we get to hear it’s all getting much better from him during his interview with Consequence of Sound‘s Heavy Consequence this week, as Maynard James Keenan gives a short update on the current state of his health and says that “everything’s grand.”
In the past, he also told that beloved frontman Keenan was still dealing with the residual effects and expressed his situation saying, “But it was ugly. I survived it, but it wasn’t pretty. So I definitely had to deal with that.”
But this time Maynard James Keenan seems to be really okay as he relieves all fans answering the question of if there were any lingering side effects as “Not that I’m aware of.”
Maynard James Keenan has also told earlier that people are “tending to be fairly arrogant” to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I knew what I went through and I know what I’m still going through, so I would recommend that you take this seriously – but I feel like that’s just going to fall on deaf ears,” warned Keenan, everyone.
