The 10 Best Dan and Shay Songs of All-Time

Dan and Shay

Over the last seven years, Dan + Shay has become one of the most popular country music acts. Earlier this year, the duo was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their megahit collab with Justin Bieber, “10000.” However, their journey to the top has been a rollercoaster. In the mid-2000s, before the band transitioned to country music, the duo were emo singers, with Dan performing for an emo band called Transition. On the other hand, Shay posted some throwback photos on his Twitter account, performing on stage, while donning a Houston Calls blacktop with a choker around his neck. Despite Dan + Shay transiting to country music, the duo still retains ties with emo music. The duo met in 2012 and started writing music one day after their meeting. Within a few months, the duo had gotten offers with Warner/Chappell Music. Their debut single, “19 You + Me,” was released to positive reviews by critics who praised the song for its emotions and warm details. In April 2014, Dan + Shay released their first album, Where It All Began, with the second track, “Show You Off,” being released on country radion on 12th May 2014. The duo also made their first appearance on Grand Ole Opry on 1st February 2014. Dan + Shay have also gone on several tours, including the We’re Not Invisible Tour, where they were the opening act for Hunter Hayes, and the 2014 Ten Times Crazier Tour where they opened for Blake Shelton. Four days after his wedding with Hailey Bieber, Dan + Shay collaborated with the Canadian singer. The track titled “10,000 Hours” was a massive commercial hit, making its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 4. This article will count down ten of the best Dan and Shay songs in descending order. Check out our list of their best songs and if you are in for some good vibes, listen to all of them.
