Maroon 5 is a pop-rock band that was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1994. The original members were vocalist Adam Levine, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden and drummer Ryan Dusick. When the group was originally formed, they were called Kara’s Flowers. The lineup has since changed, with Levine and Carmichael as the only remaining original members. The second single released from Maroon 5’s debut album, ‘Songs About Jane,’ was ‘This Love,’ and Live About lists it as one of the best Maroon 5 songs. Adam Levine and Jesse Carmichael wrote the song, and it is about Levine’s break-up with an ex-girlfriend. After the song was released, Levine said that the aftermath of his break-up was an emotionally trying time. The music video for the song was released in two versions, with one showing a naked couple on the bed from the waist up and with the woman having her back to the camera. The song features pop singer Christina Aguilera. As the name of this song suggests, the lyrics are inspired by legend Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones.
