Maroon 5 is a pop-rock band that was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1994. The original members were vocalist Adam Levine, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden and drummer Ryan Dusick. When the group was originally formed, they were called Kara’s Flowers. The lineup has since changed, with Levine and Carmichael as the only remaining original members. Others in the current lineup include lead guitarist James Valentine, keyboardist PJ Morton, drummer Matt Flynn, and multi-instrumentalist Sam Farrar. Since the band was formed, Maroon 5 has released seven studio albums, 22 music videos, three live albums, two compilations albums, one remix album, 33 singles, and six promotional singles. 10. This Love (2004)

 

The second single released from Maroon 5’s debut album, ‘Songs About Jane,’ was ‘This Love,’ and Live About lists it as one of the best Maroon 5 songs. It was a top ten hit in the United States, the UK, Germany, Italy, Austria, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, and France. Adam Levine and Jesse Carmichael wrote the song, and it is about Levine’s break-up with an ex-girlfriend. After the song was released, Levine said that the aftermath of his break-up was an emotionally trying time. The music video for the song was released in two versions, with one showing a naked couple on the bed from the waist up and with the woman having her back to the camera. An alternative censored version in which the bodies are only partially seen through flowers.

9. She Will Be Loved (2004)

 

‘She Will Be Loved’ is a track from Maroon 5’s debut studio album, ‘Songs About Jane.’ It topped the Australian charts and peaked at number five in the United States and number four in the UK. The single was certified 4x Platinum in the United States. Adam Levine co-wrote the song with James Valentine, and the music video was about a mother-daughter love triangle and starred Kelly Preston.

The most commercially successful of Maroon 5’s songs is the 2015 single ‘Moves Like Jagger,’ and it was the fourth single released from the album ‘Hands All Over.’ It was a chart-topping hit in the United States, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand and was also a top ten hit in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the UK. The song features pop singer Christina Aguilera. As the name of this song suggests, the lyrics are inspired by legend Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones.
