Over the last few years, Atlanta-based rappers have been taking over the rap game and Yung Nudy hopes to continue that tradition. Although he hasn’t become a huge mainstream success just yet, he has been building a dedicated fan base and he’s released several mixtapes and two studio albums. On top of that, Yung Nudy has also earned the respect of many of his contemporaries. His most recent album, Dr. Ev4l, featured appearances by some popular artists including G Herbo and Lil Uzi Vert. 1. He May Have Jamaican Roots
Young Nudy was born and raised in East Atlanta, but some sources have suggested that he also has Jamaican ancestry. Although this fact is mentioned on his Wikipedia page, the source they used doesn’t directly state that he is Jamaican. Additionally, we weren’t able to find anything to verify that this information is actually true.
2. He’s Really Close To His Grandmother
Young Nudy’s grandparents, especially his grandmother, have played a very important role in his life. During an interview with The Fader, Nudy said, “I’ve always been a grandmama’s boy; I love my grandma. When I was little, I used to always try to go over to my grandmama’s house, but once I got older, I was gone in the street. I like being around her because I be good. ”
3. He’s Related To 21 Savage
What many people don’t realize is that Yung Nudy was connected to the rap industry before he even started rapping. Yung Nudy and fellow Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage are cousins. In fact, 21 Savage is a big part of the reason why Nudy decided to get into rap and take it seriously.
4. He Believes In The Importance Of Good Energy
When Nudy meets someone, it’s their energy that he pays close attention to. While talking to Complex, Young Nudy said, “I’m an energy person. I go off your vibe. Whatever your vibe is with me, that’s how I am with you. But other than that, my vibe all day is just laughing and silly.”

Lots of rappers are known for being flashy and wanting to be the center of attention, but that isn’t Young Nudy’s style. He’s a fairly private person and he prefers to live a more low-key lifestyle. No matter how big he may get, he always wants to be able to maintain a certain level of privacy.

10. He’s Had Trouble With The Law
Over the years, Nudy has found himself on the radar of local law enforcement. In 2019, he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. 21 Savage was with him at the time of this arrest, and it ultimately resulted in 21 being detained by ICE after it was revealed that he wasn’t born in the United States and had overstayed his Visa. Young Nudy was released from jail the date after he was arrested.
