1. He Was Born In Haiti
Florida is the place that most people associate with Jackboy, but he is originally from Haiti. He was born in the country and lived there for the first several years of his life. He relocated to the United States with his family when he was about six years old and he was raised in South Florida.
2. He Loves Fashion
Not only Jackboy focused on sounding his best, but he also wants to make sure he looks his best while doing it. He is really into fashion and he especially loves expensive name brands such as Dior, Amiri, Gucci, and Fendi. It wouldn’t be surprising if we saw him get more involved in the fashion world at some point in his career.
3. He Mas Over A Million Followers On Instagram
Despite the fact that Jackboy hasn’t achieved mainstream success just yet, he has clearly already made a significant impact. He currently has 1.8 million followers on Instagram which is very impressive. This number is much higher than some people who have been in the industry for decades. That said, social media followers don’t always equate to success.
4. He Likes To Travel
Being in the music industry has allowed Jackboy to have awesome experiences that he could’ve never imagined. He has gotten the chance to travel across the United States and to other parts of the world. Some of the countries he’s been to are France, Dubai, and Colombia. 5. He Was Best Friends With Kodak Black
Jackboy and fellow rapper Kodak Black grew up in the same area in Florida and they became very good friends. Kodak has mentioned Jackboy in several songs and has been supportive of his career. In fact, early in Kodak’s career, he namedropped Jackboy in an interview and shared that people should be on the lookout for his music. Ironically, Jackboy wasn’t even making music at the time. Sadly, the two had some sort of falling out in 2021. However, it’s unclear exactly where the issue stems from.
6. He’s Spent Some Time Behind Bars
Jackboy didn’t come from a family with much money. As a result, he often found himself in situations where he had to make very difficult decisions in order to get by. He was arrested for the first time when he was just 12 years old, and that began a cycle of many other run-ins with the law. Now that he is making a name for himself, though, he is determined to stay away from trouble.
7. He’s Only Been Rapping For A Few Years
Usually, when an artist finally breaks into the industry, it’s the result of years of grinding. That, however, wasn’t the case for Jackboy. During an interview with DJBooth.net in 2020, Jackboy said, “I just started rapping two years ago, but I didn’t take it serious. At first, it was all for the check. I didn’t fall in love with it until I made millions off of it. At that point, you see what you worked for. Over the last six or seven months is when it became the real deal. That was when I started trying things I wasn’t really doing in the beginning. I love going to the studio now because I know what it’s gonna bring me.”
8. He Wanted To Be A Football Player
When Jackboy was younger, he envisioned himself becoming a football player. Unfortunately, though, he would never see that plan come to fruition. Once he started getting in legal trouble, his football dreams began to feel impossible. Even though things didn’t turn out the way Jackboy originally planned, he’s still happy with how things are going.
9. He Isn’t Afraid To Try New Things
Whether in music or in life, Jackboy is the kind of person who isn’t afraid to step outside his comfort zone for the sake of creating something new or having a new experience. He’s always open to experimenting with his sound. On top of that, he loves a good adrenaline rush and has done things like skydiving and snowboarding.

Making music is Jackboy’s main focus at the moment, but he also wants to tap into the business side of the industry. At some point, he plans to start his own talent management company. He would love to be able to put other artists in positions to win and get access to great opportunities.
