10 Things You Didn’t Know about Gary Del Vecchio

Are you familiar with musician Gary Del Vecchio? If you have never heard the name before, you’re not alone. He has a tendency to fly under the radar. However, that doesn’t make him any less passionate about his rock music, nor does it mean that he’s any less talented. Here are 10 things about him that might surprise you. 1. He lives in Warren, Ohio

Warren, Ohio may not exactly seem like the place for a rockstar to live, but that is the place that he has chosen to call home. In fact, he has commented fairly regularly that he absolutely loves living there and can’t imagine living anywhere else. While a lot of other individuals in the business are moving to larger cities where they can get more exposure, he says that he is perfectly happy living there and has no intention of changing that anytime in the foreseeable future.

2. He doesn’t really have the rockstar lifestyle

Based on the paragraph above, it probably won’t surprise you that he really doesn’t live like a lot of rock stars live, if there is such a thing. You know that rock star persona that so many people think of, the one involving sex, drugs and rock and roll? He doesn’t really subscribe to any of that and says that he never has. As far as he’s concerned, it’s all about the music. In fact, that’s the only thing that he’s really ever put much focus on. As far as being famous and all of the accolades and perils that come with it, he says that that was never his main focus and it still isn’t.

3. He still lives in the same town where he grew up

Perhaps the reason that he loves Warren, Ohio so much is because that’s the town where he grew up. For him, the town holds a unique charm that only tends to be felt when you have a special love for a certain place. He says that he has a lot of fun memories of growing up there and has always felt very much at home. Therefore, he never felt the need to move away. He also says that he’s never really understood why people move to larger cities they don’t want to live in to begin with when all they have to do is board an airplane in order to get wherever they need to go.

4. He’s a family man

He’s been married for the last 10 years. He loves playing music, but he says that nothing compares to life as a husband. He genuinely loves being a family man and doing things with his wife. For him, it’s all about togetherness and going on a journey with the person that you love, allowing that journey to take you to places you never even dreamed of.

5. He attended Howland High School

This is a local high school in Warren, Ohio. They have always been exceedingly proud of their school and they are even more so because they have local celebrity Gary Del Vecchio. By all accounts, he seems to be just as proud of the school as they are of him.

6. He studied music in college

He attended the College of Rock in order to study music, something that he had dreamed of since the time he was a small child. It was there that he truly had an opportunity to let his talent as a musician blossom. He says he also learned a great deal about the music industry while taking courses there.

7. His music isn’t always easy to find

Unfortunately, his music isn’t always easy to find. In fact, it can be exceedingly difficult to find at times. He did produce a record from ARA Records with two songs on it. The first was titled “Buzzin” and the second was called “Dream Woman.” The record was released as a single in the United States, but it isn’t easy to find, not by a long shot.

8. There are a couple of songs that fans can stream

There are also a couple of other songs that fans can stream, if they know where to look. The first is called “Badger” and there is another song called “Starman.” The good thing about these two songs is they are easier to find than the single that was produced in the aforementioned paragraph. Unfortunately, those two songs are not readily available for streaming. Thankfully, the latter two mentioned here are.

9. He has a rather modest presence on social media

He posts on Facebook on a fairly routine basis, usually something about the music industry. He doesn’t tend to post a great deal of personal information and he has a rather modest presence on social media, focusing more on Facebook than the other platforms available. He has just over 100 followers, but many of these individuals seem to be dedicated fans.

10. He’s a football fan

He’s a big fan of the Cleveland Browns. In fact, he’s a big football fan in general. That said, the Cleveland Browns are definitely his team and someone that he has routinely backed over the years, through both the good and the bad times. One of the reasons that he is so fond of football is because it can provide a distraction from creating music. He says that he likes the distraction it provides from the music industry as a whole, largely because it’s completely unrelated. During the four hours or so that a football game is going on, he has an opportunity to really sit back and enjoy the game without thinking too much about music or anything associated with it. According to him, it helps him keep his life balanced in a world where it can be very difficult to find that balance at times.
